U.S. stock futures traded mixed this morning. Here are some big stocks recording gains in today’s pre-market trading session.
- Pliant Therapeutics, Inc. PLRX shares jumped 48.8% to $33.49 in pre-market trading after the company announced data from the integris-IPF Phase 2a trial demonstrating bexotegrast 320 mg was well tolerated and achieved statistically significant FVC increase in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
- Vir Biotechnology, Inc. CIR shares gained 8.7% to $30.00 in pre-market trading.
- IonQ, Inc. IONQ shares gained 5.5% to $4.58 in pre-market trading after adding 8% on Friday.

- Vacasa, Inc. VCSA shares rose 4.6% to $1.60 in pre-market trading after gaining over 6% on Friday.
- Salesforce, Inc. CRM gained 3.5% to $156.60 in pre-market trading. Activist investor Elliott Management Corp has reportedly picked up a multi-billion dollar stake in cloud software firm Salesforce, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
- Wayfair Inc. W shares rose 3.5% to $48.41 in pre-market trading. Wayfair shares gained over 20% on Friday after the company announced a 10% workforce reduction, including 18% of corporate employees.
- Tesla, Inc. TSLA shares gained 1.7% to $135.73 in pre-market trading. Tesla is expected to release quarterly earnings results on Jan. 25, 2023. The company’s CEO Elon Musk said no change in copper production is “required for the transition to sustainable energy.”
