Marathon Digital Names New CFO

Marathon Digital Holdings Inc MARA disclosed the appointment of Salman Khan as the chief financial officer.

Before joining Marathon, he served as the CFO for Verb Technology Company, Inc. VERB.

On March 27, 2023, Hugh Gallagher, the Chief Financial Officer of Marathon Digital, provided notice of his intention to retire as Chief Financial Officer on or about May 12, 2023, for personal reasons.

Salman brings a wealth of corporate finance and accounting experience as well as demonstrated success in delivering consistent performance and sustainable long-term growth. On behalf of everyone at Marathon, I would like to welcome Salman to the team," said Fred Thiel, Chairman and CEO. 

This week, MARA disclosed it has entered into a securities purchase agreement for 15,000 shares of Series A redeemable convertible preferred stock in a private placement at $952.38 per share.

Price Action: MARA shares are trading lower by 2.28% at $9.85 premarket on the last check Wednesday.
