US Stock Futures Up Ahead Of Housing Market Index

US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting housing market index. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 26 points to 13,974.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 2.20 points to 1,519.30. Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 4.25 points to 2,765.50. US stocks closed mixed on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 0.06% to 13,981.76, the S&P 500 index dropping 0.10% to 1,519.79 and the Nasdaq 100 index falling 0.21% to 3,192.03. The NAHB housing market index for February will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Joy Global JOY declared a quarterly dividend of $0.175 per share. Dell DELL is projected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.39 per share on revenue of $14.12 billion. Fresh Del Monte Produce FDP is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.04 per share on revenue of $791.82 million. Marriott International MAR is expected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.55 per share on revenue of $3.66 billion. CF Industries Holdings CF is projected to post its Q4 earnings at $6.97 per share on revenue of $1.59 billion. Medtronic MDT is estimated to report its Q3 earnings at $0.91 per share on revenue of $4.03 billion. Genuine Parts Company GPC is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.93 per share on revenue of $3.19 billion. Nabors Industries NBR is estimated to post its Q4 earnings at $0.29 per share on revenue of $1.66 billion. Westlake Chemical WLK is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $1.22 per share on revenue of $832.69 million. Herbalife HLF is projected to post its Q4 earnings at $1.03 per share on revenue of $1.05 billion. Stepan Company SCL is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.71 per share on revenue of $408.60 million. Fidelity National Financial FNF is estimated to post its Q4 earnings at $0.59 per share on revenue of $2.11 billion. Analog Devices ADI is projected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.45 per share on revenue of $632.76 million. European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.58%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.37%, German DAX 30 Index rose 0.70% and French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.95%. Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average falling 0.31%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 1.60% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index gaining 0.36%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 1.02% and India's Sensex gained 0.69%. The ZEW expectations index climbed to 48.2 in February, versus a reading of 31.5 in January.
