McMahon, a Chicago Bears icon and 1985 Super Bowl champ, promoted the launch of Revenant's new hemp products made with smokable THC hemp flower, available in all 50 states.

“We’ve been misinformed for too long about the benefits of the cannabis plant and we want people to experience what we have, that can happen nationwide now with hemp,” McMahon said in a press release Wednesday.

McMahon and Turley urged the NFL to stop testing players for marijuana.

Last year, the NFL and its players’ union announced they were teaming up to fund two research grants worth over $500,000 each to fund independent studies on the therapeutic benefits of CBD (cannabinoids) as a pain treatment alternative to opioids for players with concussions.

In February 2022, the NFL awarded $1 million in a grant to two teams of medical researchers to study the effects of CBD on pain management and neuroprotection from concussion among elite football players.
