Pre-open movers US stock index futures are firmly in the negative ahead of the release of the new home sales data. While futures on the S&P 500 lost 2.40 points to 1,098, those on the Nasdaq 100 are down 3.25 to 1871. Meanwhile, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures slipped 21 points to 10,365. A Peek Into Global Markets Most European markets were in the red, with STOXX Europe 600 Index losing 0.40% and London’s FTSE 100 Index moved down 0.09%. All Asian markets ended in the positive territory, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average adding 0.77%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.65% and China's Shanghai Composite gaining 0.65%.
