Stocks To Watch For June 23, 2014

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Wall Street expects Sonic SONC to post its Q3 earnings at $0.29 per share on revenue of $149.60 million. Sonic shares fell 0.04% to close at $22.40 on Friday. Google's GOOG Nest Labs agreed to acquire video-monitoring company Dropcam, for $555 million in cash. Google shares gained 0.26% to close at $556.36 on Friday. Analysts are expecting Micron Technology MU to have earned $0.70 per share on revenue of $3.89 billion in the third quarter. Micron shares rose 0.13% to close at $31.85 on Friday. Alstom's ALSMY board unanimously decided to recommend General Electric's GE offer to acquire the Power and Grid businesses of Alstom for $16.9 billion (€12.35 billion). GE shares rose 0.15% to close at $26.97 on Friday. Shire SHPG confirmed Friday, that on May 30, 2014, it received an unsolicited, conditional proposal from AbbVie ABBV for £20.44 in cash and 0.7988 AbbVie shares per Shire share. However, the proposal was rejected. Shire shares jumped 14.68% to $219.85 in pre-market trading, while AbbVie shares declined 1.64% to close at $53.30 on Friday.
