A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are signaling towards a higher start this week, following China's healthy economic data and new global rules for banks on capital requirements raised demand for risky investments. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 87 points to 10,480 and Nasdaq 100 futures gained 14 points to 1,904. S&P 500 futures are at 1,109.50. A Peek Into Global Markets Positive sentiments ruled the European markets today. While STOXX Europe 600 Index has advanced 0.84%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 1.07%. Asian markets ended in the positive territory, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average adding 0.90%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 1.16% and China's Shanghai Composite gaining 0.94%. Broker Recommendation J.P.Morgan Chase & Co. is Overweight on shares of NV Energy Inc. NVE, after meeting with the company's CFO, Dilek Samil. It has a $15 price target on shares. In the research report, J.P. Morgan writes, "Our main conclusion is that although pressure on NV Energy from a sluggish economy remains very real, so does the opportunity for the company to realize meaningful earnings growth in 2012. While we were early with our upgrade of NVE shares as we expected a more swift recovery in Nevada, NVE's 2012 earnings growth potential represents one of the best earnings upside stories in our universe with clear catalysts along the way.
