Unemployment in EU improves

Unemployment in the Euro area fell to 11.4% in December, down from an unrevised 11.5% in November and down from 11.8% in December 2013. The lowest rate across the region was 4.8% in Germany, the highest rate 25.8% was in Greece, Spain has a 23.7% rate. Youth unemployment improved a bit, down to 23% from November's revised 23.3%. Youth unemployment is going to eventually be a real problem for policy makers, youths grow up to be adults and they do vote. Europe's Euro, EUR/USD is trading 1.1352 up 0.0018 in early U.S trading.
