US stock futures traded mostly flat in early pre-market trade. Data on weekly jobless claims, retail sales for May and import price index for May will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. Data on business inventories for April will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 3.50 points to 18,021.50, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 1.05 points to 2,105.95. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index rose 1.15 points to 4,489.90.

European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.63 percent, STOXX Europe 600 Index surging 0.45 percent and German DAX 30 index gaining 0.70 percent. French CAC 40 Index surged 0.55 percent and London's FTSE 100 Index rose 0.22 percent. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 1.68 percent, China's Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.30 percent, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index climbed 0.83 percent and India's BSE Sensex dipped 1.75 percent.

Analysts at Morgan Stanley downgraded

) from Overweight to Equal-weight and lowered the price target from $76.00 to $72.00. Colgate-Palmolive shares rose 1.56 percent to close at $67.06 yesterday.
