Bed Bath & Beyond Inc BBBY reported its FQ3 profit at $0.74 per share, up from $0.58 per share, in the year-ago quarter. The company's sales increased 11.1% y/y to $2.19 billion. The company's board has also authorized a new $2 billion share buyback program. BBBY shares jumped 6.61% to $50.82 in after-hours trading.
Gilead Sciences Inc GILD terminated a Phase III clinical trial of its drug ambrisentan, as the data depicted the drug was not effective. GILD shares fell 1.76% to $35.70 in the after-hours trading session.
The board of Monsanto Co MON appointed Pierre Courduroux as the company's senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), with effect from January 1. MON shares gained 0.20% to $66.58 in after-hours trading.
