Oil and gas stocks gained, along with the broader market. The NYSE Arca Oil Index (XOI) rose about 0.73%, with Total S.A TOT as the top gainer in the list. The NYSE Arca Natural Gas Index (XNG) gained around 0.73%. Shares of Noble Energy Inc NBL gained about 3.14%. The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index (OSX) moved up about 1.43%. Shares of Sears Holdings Corp SHLD surged about 4.7%. The stock traded higher for the fourth day. SHLD, which is using Sonic Solutions' SNIC RoxioNow movie service, has officially launched its online movie download service. US financial stocks were slightly lower, with American International Group Inc AIG as the top decliner in the list. The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) fell about 0.14%.
