• Intel INTC reported fourth quarter earnings of $0.59, ahead of the Zacks Consensus Estimate of  $0.53, on revenues of $11.5 billion beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $10.73 billion. Gross profit margins came in at 67.5%. The firm lifted first quarter sales projections to $11.1 billion to $11.9 billion, above the Zacks Consensus Estimate for $10.62 billion and provided capex plans of $9 billion this year, up from $3.8 billion last
 
• JP Morgan JPM posted fourth quarter results of $1.12, ahead of the Zacks Consensus Estimate of  $0.97, on revenues of $26.1 billion beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $24.125 billion

• General Motors GM has completed a pension fund contribution worth $6 billion

• Deutsche Bank DB maintained  a "buy" rating on Expedia EXPE increasing the target price from $32 to $35

• Goldman Sachs GS added Embraer ERJ to its Conviction Buy List with a target price of $30

• Citigroup C has downgraded American Electric Power AEP to "hold" from "buy” rating

• Goldman Sachs GS has downgraded Consolidated Edison ED to “sell” from "neutral" rating

• FBR has downgraded Patriot Coal PCX to "market perform” from "outperform" rating
