Novellus Systems Inc NVLS reported its Q4 profit at $81.5 million, or $0.89 per share, up from $35.2 million, or $0.36 per share, in the year-ago period. NVLS reported its adjusted income at $1.03 per share. The company's revenue came in at $384.4 million, compared with $367.2 million, in the year-ago quarter. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.93 per share on revenue of $377.9 million. NVLS shares surged 3.94% to $37.49 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts expect United Parcel Service Inc UPS to report its Q4 earnings at $1.05 per share on revenue of $13.41 billion. UPS shares gained 0.96% to $72.31 in after-hours trading. Anadarko Petroleum Corp APC reported its Q4 net income at $111 million, or $0.22 per share, down from $229 million, or $0.46 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding one-time items, the company reported its earnings at $0.29 per share. The company's revenue increased 11% y/y to $2.69 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.18 per share on revenue of $2.68 billion. APC shares dropped 0.65% to $76.58 in the after-hours trading session.
