  • Apple Inc. AAPL reported stronger-than-expected results for its first quarter on Tuesday. iPhone sales in the quarter rose to 78.3 million, versus 74.8 million in the year-ago quarter. Apple shares gained 3.02 percent to $125.02 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Analysts are expecting Johnson Controls International plc JCI to have earned $0.52 per share on revenue of $7.15 billion in the latest quarter. Johnson Controls will release earnings before the markets open. Johnson Controls shares fell 0.30 percent to $43.85 in after-hours trading.
  • After the closing bell, Allstate Corp ALL is projected to post its quarterly earnings at $1.61 per share on revenue of $7.74 billion. Allstate shares declined 0.53 percent to close at $75.21 on Tuesday.
