Futures Continue To Plunge (GE)

Futures all across the board are plunging as a Japanese nuclear plant may be on the verge of a major meltdown, and radioactivity is being released from the Fukushima #4 reactor.

There are reports this morning that the containment vessel on Reactor #2 is no longer sealed, which means radiation can enter the environment.

There is a flight to safety, with the dollar and U.S. Treasuries soaring, and all commodities, and equities plunging.

Shares of General Electric GE are down sharply this morning, down 8%, as the company makes parts of the reactor.

Gold, oil, copper and all commodities across the board are being hit, as nothing deemed slightly risky is going to perform well this morning.

The Japanese central bank has injected hundreds of billions of dollars into the markets, and it has had no affect, with the Nikkei plunging 11% last night, after falling almost 7% on Monday.
