Illinois Tool Works (ITW) Gains On Upbeat Projections

Shares of Illinois Tool Works Inc ITW gained about 1% in pre-market trading after the company issued stronger-than-expected FQ1 and full-year projections. ITW projects Q1 net earnings of $1.14 to $1.20 per share and full-year earnings from continuing operations of $3.93 to $4.17 per share. However, analysts were expecting Q1 earnings of $0.82 per share and full-year earnings of $3.77 per share. ITW shares gained 0.93% to $54.50 in pre-market trading.
