A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are lower this morning, after Standard & Poor's downgraded the US debt rating. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 222 points to 11,180.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 27.80 points to 1,170.00. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 51.75 points to 2,135.25. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index dropped 1.89%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 1.88%, French CAC 40 index fell 1.72% and German DAX 30 index dropped 2.21%. Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dipping 2.18%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 2.71% and China's Shanghai Composite declining 3.79%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 2.17% and India's Sensex dipped 1.82%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at FBR Capital downgraded Texas Instruments Incorporated TXN from "outperform" to "market perform." The target price for Texas Instruments is set to $36.
