A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are mixed this morning, as investors are awaiting earnings reports from major companies. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 21 points to 11,280.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 0.50 points to 1,193.40. Nasdaq 100 futures surged 10 points to 2,331.00. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.84%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 1.27%, French CAC 40 index declined 1.77% and German DAX 30 index dropped 0.50%. Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 1.5506%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 2.04% and China's Shanghai Composite dropping 2.33%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index dipped 4.2256% and India's Sensex declined 1.50%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Jefferies & Company downgraded VMware Inc VMW from “buy” to “hold.” The target price for VMware has been lowered from $100 to $90.
