A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are slightly higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 22 points to 12,676.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 1 point to 1,311.80. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 2.50 points to 2,437.25. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index surged 0.38%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.67%, French CAC 40 index rose 0.40% and German DAX 30 index gained 0.53%. Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 0.0053% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.36%. India's Sensex gained 12.72 points. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Deutsche Bank upgraded Research In Motion Ltd RIMM from “sell” to “hold.” The target price for Research In Motion has been raised from $10 to $18.
