US Stock Futures Signal Higher Start On Wall Street

US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 94 points to 12,597.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 10 points to 1,332.00. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 19.75 points to 2,576.75. US stocks closed higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average surging 0.75% to 12,554.20, the S&P 500 index rising 0.81% to 1,325.66 and the Nasdaq 100 index gaining 0.97% to 2,858.42. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 2.44% and India's Sensex dropped 0.30%. July crude-oil futures gained $1.09 to $85.19 a barrel, while gold for August delivery climbed $2.60 to $1,594.10. The euro rose to $1.2595, versus $1.2512 late Friday in North American trading.
