US stock futures are lower this morning, as investors are awaiting the pending home sales index. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 33 points to 14,445.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 3 points to 1,554.10. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 4.25 points to 2,795.50.
US stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.77% to 14,559.65, the S&P 500 index gaining 0.78% to 1,563.77 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 0.53% to 3,252.48.
The MBA purchase applications index will be released at 7:00 a.m. ET, while the pending home sales index for February will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. The EIA weekly report on petroleum inventories will be released at 10:30 a.m. ET, while data on farm prices will be released at 3:00 p.m. ET.
SAIC SAI posted upbeat fiscal fourth-quarter earnings and also declared a special cash dividend of $1 per share.
Paychex PAYX is expected to post its Q3 earnings at $0.39 per share on revenue of $592.62 million. Red Hat RHT is projected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.30 per share on revenue of $349.64 million. Asia Entertainment & Resources AERL is estimated to report its Q4 earnings at $0.33 per share.
PVH PVH is projected to post its Q4 earnings at $1.50 per share on revenue of $1.60 billion. HB Fuller Co FUL is expected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.50 per share on revenue of $472.92 million. Steelcase SCS is estimated to post its Q4 earnings at $0.19 per share on revenue of $709.47 million. Verint Systems VRNT is estimated to post its Q4 earnings at $0.75 per share on revenue of $226.28 million.
Lindsay LNN is projected to report its Q2 earnings at $1.30 per share on revenue of $163.26 million. UniFirst UNF is expected to report its Q2 earnings at $1.13 per share on revenue of $328.59 million. SYNNEX SNX is expected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.88 per share on revenue of $2.44 billion. Texas Industries TXI is estimated to post a Q3 loss at $0.41 per share on revenue of $140.98 million.
European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.23%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.06%, French CAC 40 Index declined 0.70% and German DAX 30 index fell 0.70%.
Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.18%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 1.09% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.85%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.69%.
