US Stock Futures Up Ahead Of Existing Home Sales Data

US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting housing data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 74 points to 14,544.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 9.20 points to 1,556.80. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 20.75 points to 2,789.00. US stocks closed higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 0.07% to 14,547.51, the S&P 500 index surging 0.88% to 1,555.25 and the Nasdaq 100 index rising 1.25% to 3,206.06. The Chicago Fed National Activity Index for March will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while existing home sales data for March will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Caterpillar CAT is projected to report its Q1 earnings at $1.40 per share on revenue of $13.72 billion. B/E Aerospace BEAV is expected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.80 per share on revenue of $808.29 million. Halliburton Company HAL is expected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.57 per share on revenue of $6.88 billion. Ameriprise Financial AMP is projected to post its Q1 earnings at $1.57 per share on revenue of $2.72 billion. Netflix NFLX is estimated to post its Q1 earnings at $0.18 per share on revenue of $1.02 billion. US Airways Group LCC is projected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.28 per share on revenue of $3.37 billion. Texas Instruments TXN is expected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.30 per share on revenue of $2.85 billion. Lennox International LII is projected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.27 per share on revenue of $633.98 million. Check Point Software Technologies CHKP is expected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.78 per share on revenue of $327.99 million. Hasbro HAS is projected to report its Q1 earnings at $0.04 per share on revenue of $638.76 million. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.78%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.77%, French CAC 40 Index surged 0.46% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.68%. Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average surging 1.89%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.11% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.66%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 0.14% and India's Sensex gained 0.96%.
