US Stock Futures Down Ahead Of Economic Data

US stock futures are lower this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 64 points to 11,954.00 and futures on the S&P 500 stock index fell 7.50 points to 1,277.00. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 12.75 points to 2,234.25. US stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones industrial average gaining 1.03% to 12,076.11, the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index rising 1.26% to 1,287.87 and the NASDAQ composite index surging 1.48% to 2,678.72. Data on May consumer prices and the June Empire State manufacturing index will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. Data on May industrial production will be released at 9:15 a.m. ET and the NAHB Housing Market Index for June will be released at 10 a.m. ET. Korn/Ferry International KFY is projected to post its Q4 EPS at $0.32 on revenue of $191.01 million. Finisar Corporation FNSR is estimated to report its Q4 EPS at $0.33 on revenue of $242.89 million. Clarcor Inc CLC reported a 37% surge in its second-quarter earnings. The company's earnings climbed to $32.8 million, or $0.64 per share, from $23.9 million, or $0.47 per share, in the year-earlier period. Clarcor's revenue increased 12% to $288.5 million. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.56 per share on revenue of $282.8 million. Clarcor lifted its full-year earnings forecast to $2.25 to $2.40 per share. Pandora Media shares will debut today after the opening bell. The company priced its initial public offering at $16 per share, above its range of $10 to $12 per share. The company's stock will start trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Pandora P sold 14.68 million shares in the offering. Ford Motor's F Vice President Bob Shanks is scheduled to present at the Deutsche Bank Securities Global Industrials Conference in Chicago. Most Asian markets ended lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.28%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.34% and China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.91%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.68% and India's Sensex dipped 0.99%. European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index has dropped 0.38%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved down 0.42%. Euro-zone officials failed to agree on a solution to the Greek debt crisis at a meeting in Brussels on Tuesday. The euro dipped 0.9% versus the US dollar to trade at $1.4311. The dollar index (DXY) gained 0.7% to 74.942. Crude oil for July delivery fell $1.01 to $98.36 a barrel in electronic trading on Globex. Read more from Benzinga's Markets.
