Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting new-home sales data. Crude oil prices surged above $105 a barrel. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 33 points to 11,988.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 3.90 points to 1,292.20. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 rose 2.25 points to 2,259.50. A Peek Into Global Markets Positive sentiment ruled the European markets today. While STOXX Europe 600 Index has gained 0.41%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.58%. Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 1.65%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.19% and China's Shanghai Composite rising 1.01%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.14% and India's Sensex climbed 1.21%.
