A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts Pre-open movers US stock futures are flat this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 10 points to 11,094.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 0.90 points to 1,169.40. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 1.50 points to 2,156.50. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index gained 1.28%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 1.55%, French CAC 40 index rose 1.60% and German DAX 30 index gained 1.85%. Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 0.2918%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.82% and China's Shanghai Composite gaining 0.45%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.13% and India's Sensex declined 1.35%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Jefferies & Company upgraded Hewlett-Packard Company HPQ from “hold” to “buy.” The target price for Hewlett-Packard is set to $40.
