US stock futures are mostly flat this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were flat at 12,936.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 1.30 points to 1,404.60. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 7.50 points to 2,653.25.
US stocks closed mixed on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 0.33% to 12,967.37, the S&P 500 index falling 0.20% to 1,406.29 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 0.33% to 2,976.78.
Data on durable-goods orders for October will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. The S&P/Case-Shiller home-price index for the month of September will be released at 9 a.m. ET. The Conference Board will release its consumer-confidence index for the month of November will be released at 10 a.m. ET.
Ralcorp Holdings RAH is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.87 per share on revenue of $1.10 billion. ADT ADT is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.43 per share on revenue of $818.23 million.
PVH PVH is estimated to post its Q3 earnings at $2.30 per share on revenue of $1.64 billion. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters GMCR is expected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.48 per share on revenue of $902.23 million. Analog Devices ADI is projected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.57 per share on revenue of $697.14 million.
Las Vegas Sands LVS reported that its board approved a special cash dividend of $2.75 per share.
Dollar General DG will replace Cooper Industries plc CBE in the S&P 500 after the close of trading on November 30.
Shanda Games Ltd GAME reported its Q3 earnings at $0.17 per share on revenue of $170.4 million.
European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.44%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.49%, French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.39% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.61%.
Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.37%, China's Shanghai Composite dropping 1.30% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.67%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declined 0.08% and India's Sensex rose 1.65%.
The euro dropped 0.06% against the dollar to trade at $1.2965.
December gold prices dropped $2.60 to trade at $1,747.00 an ounce.
