A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are mostly flat this morning, ahead of economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 1 point to 13,925.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 0.30 points to 1,512.80. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 2 points to 2,768.50. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were mostly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.08%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.32%, German DAX 30 Index rose 0.11% and French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.47%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average surging 1.94%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index rising 0.02% and India's Sensex gaining 0.52%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Mizuho upgraded Walgreen Co WAG from “neutral” to “buy.” The target price for Walgreen has been raised from $39 to $46.
