US Stock Futures Gain Ahead Of Producer Price, Consumer Sentiment Data

Pre-open movers US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. The producer price index for February will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index for March will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 23 points to 17,816, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 2.60 points to 2,059.10. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 8.25 points to 4,333.00 A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were mixed today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.23%, STOXX Europe 600 Index dropping 0.04% and German DAX 30 index gaining 0.42%. French CAC 40 Index slipped 0.01% and London's FTSE 100 Index fell 0.10%. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 1.39%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.11%, China's Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.70% and India's BSE Sensex dipped 1.48%.
