A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are higher this morning, after President Barack Obama reported that Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, was killed in a US operation in Pakistan. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 70 points to 12,826.00 and futures on the S&P 500 stock index rose 6.60 points to 1,366.30. Nasdaq 100 futures surged 11.50 points to 2,412.25. A Peek Into Global Markets Most Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 1.57%. India's Sensex dropped 0.72%. Markets in China and Hong Kong were closed for a public holiday. European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index has advanced 0.20%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Citigroup upgraded Netflix NFLX from “hold” to “buy.” The target price for NFLX has been raised from $245 to $300.
