A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are slightly higher this morning. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 22 points to 12,367.00 and futures on the S&P 500 stock index rose 0.30 point to 1,315.80. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 2.00 points to 2,323.00. A Peek Into Global Markets Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.5295%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving down 0.26% and China's Shanghai Composite dropping 0.10%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 1.53% and India's Sensex dropped 0.51%. European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index has gained 0.11%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.36%, German DAX 30 index rose 0.11% and France CAC 40 index rose 0.02%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at JP Morgan upgraded Murphy Oil Corp MUR from “underweight” to “neutral.” The target price for Murphy Oil is set to $68.
