European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index gained 1.08%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 1.10%, French CAC 40 index rose 1.57% and German DAX 30 index gained 1.34%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 1.2156%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 2.14% and China's Shanghai Composite gaining 1.52%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 1.9945% and India's Sensex climbed 0.96%.
