ETFs To Watch May 24, 2010 (SMN, SOXL, HAO, EWD)

Here is the ETF Professor's ETF Watch List for Monday May 24, 2010. With Chinese stocks trading higher overnight, watch the iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index FXI and the Claymore/AlphaShares China Small-Cap ETF HAO. Oil looked like it was firming a bit overnight, so keep an eye on the ProShares Ultra Oil & Gas ETF DIG and its inverse cousin, the ProShares UltraShort Oil & Gas DUG. The Professor is a little leery of the bounce in materials names, so put the ProShares UltraShort Basic Materials ETF SMN on your list. Along those same lines, the iShares S&P Global Materials ETF MXI gained more than 3% on Friday. Small-caps started to firm up on Friday making the iShares Russell 2000 Index IWM. The iShares MSCI Sweden Index EWD was up almost 5% on Friday. The SPDR Barclays Capital High Yield Bond ETF JNK was up more than 3% on Friday. Check on strength in chip stocks with the Direxion Daily Semicondct Bull 3X Shares SOXL.
