US Stock Futures Up Ahead Of Boeing Earnings

US stock futures are slightly higher this morning, as investors are awaiting earnings from Boeing Co BA and new home sales data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 11 points to 13,052.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 3.10 points to 1,409.90. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 2.50 points to 2,663.00. US stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dipping 1.82% to 13,102.53, the S&P 500 index falling 1.44% to 1,413.11 and the Nasdaq 100 index dropping 0.88% to 2,990.46. The flash manufacturing PMI for October will be released at 9 a.m. ET. However, data on new home sales for September will be released at 10 a.m. ET. The Boeing Company is estimated to report its Q3 EPS at $1.12 on revenue of $20.03 billion. AT&T T is projected to report its Q3 earnings at $0.60 per share on revenue of $31.58 billion. Corning GLW is expected to report its Q3 EPS at $0.32 on revenue of $2.02 billion. Delta Air Lines DAL is estimated to report its Q3 EPS at $0.91 on revenue of $9.97 billion. Bristol-Myers Squibb Company BMY is projected to report its Q3 EPS at $0.42 on revenue of $3.98 billion. Lockheed Martin LMT is expected to report its Q3 earnings at 1.85 per share on revenue of $11.17 billion. US Airways Group LCC is expected to report its Q3 earnings at $0.92 per share on revenue of $3.55 billion. Lorillard LO is projected to report its Q3 EPS at $2.23 on revenue of $1.20 billion. General Dynamics GD is projected to report its Q3 EPS at $1.75 on revenue of $7.95 billion. Owens-Illinois OI is expected to post its Q3 EPS at $0.67 on revenue of $1.75 billion. Owens Corning OC is projected to report its Q3 EPS at $0.36 on revenue of $1.31 billion. Zynga ZNGA is expected to post a Q3 loss at $0.01 per share on revenue of $259.93 million. Facebook FB reported a 36% surge in its third-quarter advertising revenue. The company also reported upbeat quarterly earnings. Netflix NFLX cut its year-end subscriber view. European markets were slightly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.09%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.01%, French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.16% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.03%. Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 0.67%, China's Shanghai Composite rising 0.07% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropping 0.82%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 0.31%. The euro dropped 0.39% against the dollar to trade at $1.2935.
