European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index dropping 0.35%, London's FTSE 100 index fell 0.28%, French CAC 40 Index declined 0.14% and German DAX 30 index descend 0.36%. Asian markets were mostly lower today, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average jumping 1.20%, China's Shanghai Composite descend 0.22% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index surged 0.07%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 1.42% and India's Sensex declined 2.14%.
