U.S. stock futures were higher this morning, with the Nasdaq futures gaining around 0.5% on Friday.
Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company HPE fell sharply in today's pre-market trading after the company issued second-quarter guidance below estimates.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise reported quarterly earnings of 49 cents per share, in line with the analyst consensus estimate. Quarterly revenue came in at $7.85 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $7.82 billion and an increase over revenue of $6.75 billion from the same period last year.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise estimates second-quarter revenue to be in the range of $7.2 billion to $7.6 billion, versus the $7.93 billion estimate, and EPS of between 28 cents and 34 cents, versus the 50 cent estimate.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise shares tumbled 19.9% to $14.39 in the pre-market trading session.
