US Stock Futures Up As Crude Oil Futures Decline Marginally From 29-Month Highs, Urban Outfitters Down In Pre-Market Trading

US stock futures are higher this morning, as crude-oil prices declined marginally from 29-month highs. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 46 points to 12,124.00 and futures on the S&P 500 stock index gained 6.30 points at 1,315.40. Nasdaq 100 futures rose 7.50 points to 2,332.00.

US stocks ended lower, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 0.66% to close at 12,090 on Monday.

Shares of Urban Outfitters Inc URBN tumbled more than 10.5% in pre-market trading after the company reported its FQ4 net income at $75.2 million, or $0.45 per share, versus $77.7 million, or $0.45 per share, in the year-ago period. The company's sales increased 14% y/y to $668.4 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.52 per share on sales of $674. 8million.

BroadSoft Inc BSFT reported its Q4 non-GAAP profit at $12.2 million, or $0.44 per share. The company's revenue surged 85% y/y to $35.8 million. However, analysts had expected BSFT to report earnings of $0.29 per share on $32 million in revenue. BroadSoft projected Q1 adjusted earnings of $0.04 to $0.11 per share on revenue of $27 million to $29 million. It projected full-year adjusted earnings of $0.56 to $0.66 per share on revenue of $116 million to $120 million. However, analysts were projecting Q1 adjusted earnings of $0.07 per share on revenue of $25 million and full-year earnings of $0.57 per share on revenue of $115 million.

Casey's General Stores Inc CASY reported its FQ3 net income at $12.9 million, or $0.34 per share, compared with $17.2 million, or $0.34 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding one-time items, the company's earnings came in at $0.37 per share. CASY's revenue increased to $1.37 billion from $1.11 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.49 per share on revenue of $1.33 billion.

Diamond Foods Inc DMND is estimated to report its Q2 EPS at $0.89 on revenue of $265.13 million. Brown-Forman Corporation BF is projected to report its Q3 EPS at $0.86 on revenue of $876.96 million.

Dick's Sporting Goods Inc DKS is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.72 per share on revenue of $1.45 billion. Boston Beer Company Inc (The) SAM is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.90 per share on revenue of $118.53 million.

Stage Stores SSI reported its Q4 EPS at $0.86, versus the consensus of $0.85. SSI reported its Q4 revenue at $453.7 million, versus the consensus of $452.94 million.

Positive sentiment ruled the European markets today. While STOXX Europe 600 Index has gained 0.36%, London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.07%.

Asian markets ended in the positive territory, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.19%, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.13% and China's Shanghai Composite rising 0.13%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 1.71% and India's Sensex surged 1.19%.

Crude oil for April delivery dropped $0.36 to $105.08 a barrel in electronic trading on Globex. The contract earlier reached an intraday low of $103.33 per barrel.

The US dollar gained 0.2% against the Japanese yen to ¥82.462. However, the euro fell 0.3% to $1.3925 against the dollar.
